Almost Finished
A lot of people asked me if I was using some kind of stabilizer
so I wanted to show you the back. I didn't use one simply out of ignorance.
I had no idea such a thing existed!
If I had known I would have probably used a water soluble type
since I have super sensitive skin and can't wear anything scratchy.
I hope to finish it this weekend.
Just need to stitch the birdie and a couple of little petals.
***Only four more sleeps before Margie & Arounna arrive! :-)

Doors to Nowhere
On the way back from San Miguel we stopped at a roadside junk yard
called Oso Viejo Antiques that sells gorgeous old wooden doors & curiosities.
I was immediately drawn to the fading coats of chipped paint.

La Casa del Vidrio
Manolo, the boys & I went on a little road trip
to San Miguel de Allende this morning and visited La Casa del Vidrio.
It is a beautiful shop on Correo #11 that sells Mexican hand blown glass.
Manolo was looking for a glass vase to turn into a pendant lamp
for our house and he found a perfect chartreuse one!
I brought home one of those HUGE turquoise glass hearts :-)

String & Button
I spent yesterday afternoon recycling some more of my discarded prints
into small envelopes with string & button closures.
I used a few pretty blue eyelets I had bought last summer
when I visited my sweet friend Margie in Toronto.
I bought the little craft hammer, the eyelet setting tool & tiny hole punch
at the same craft supply chain (Michaels).
More recycling I've done with my discarded prints here, here & here.

Spring
Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods & the Jacaranda trees
are about to burst in purple song all around Queretaro.
