Have you ever heard of Gwen Frostic? I fell in love with her work after reading a feature article in the March 2005 Martha Stewart Living magazine.
The last time we were in the US I was really excited to find a lovely bird-themed

Embroidered Tea Towel
It was fun to use needle and thread again, I hadn't done it in a while.
I used chain stitch. It's my favorite stitch to "draw" on fabric.
I got the pretty linen tea towel at Manos.

Magnolias
I created this digital collage using some drawings I made yesterday,
while fascinated by the beauty of these amazing, big, bold flowers.
I scanned & isolated the line drawings in the computer,
placed them on a digital background and played around a little :)

Marcelita
My mom's 12 year old beautiful kitty passed away today. So sad...
specially because it happened at such a sad time in Chile
with of the earthquake and tsunamis.
My mom, brother & family members are all well
and suffered no harm or loss of any kind, thank the Lord.
My friend Elsita Mora has a niece that needs a helping hand in Chile.
