Setting...
We had a fun & casual dinner party at home this past weekend with some friends.
I served a mexican corn & poblano chile soup, you can find the recipe here. With what some people call "mexcan pizza" or "molletes" as we call them here in Mexico. It consists of bread (I made my own organic whole wheat organic bread) slathered with refried beans, topped with cheese then broiled in the oven till the cheese is melted and golden. The molletes are served with "pico de gallo": chopped tomato, serrano chile, onion and cilantro... yum :)

Illustration Friday: COMMUNICATION part 2
Little boys and girls just remember to keep
the twine tense and straight or else it won't work :o)
Chalk on blackboard.
***I just realised I put both of the kids with the cup in their ears, heehee
...so they won't hear a thing, I should've of put one of them with the cup close to their mouth
...oh well, c'est la vie.

Illustration Friday: COMMUNICATION
My "graphic designer" side got a hold of me today ;o)
Something a bit different for this week's Illo Friday.
I could call it a digital collage of my pen & ink drawings.
Have a gorgeous weekend friends!
Thanks for stopping by.

I like to draw.
I drew this today while taking a break
from painting the walls of my house back to white.
It's Windsor & Newton ink on Fabriano paper. This is Manolo painting away in the afternoon.

Initials
When I was a little girl my dad had this beautiful metal sculpture of his initials on his desk. I remember I was always fascinated by it because they were in fact my own initials too. I've always admired everything my dad makes and designs, he is truly talented. That beautiful GZ my dad designed now sits on my own desk where I can enjoy it every single day and think of him. I recently made it into a rubber stamp so I can put it on my watercolors. To this day, I'm proud and happy to share my dad's initials, to be able to use them in my work is just like a cherry on top!

A year and a half ago I took
a two week course on organic gardening.
These pages are from the journal I used to take notes.
Done with micron pen and watercolors.
